The hit concept vehicle of 2005 - the Fairlane Concept - achieves production reality in the all new 09 Ford Flex mid-sized crossover. The 2009 Flex's chassis was engineered to deliver a quiet car-like ride while at the same time offering towing capacity up to 4,150 pounds. Interior noise is minimized with sound deadening materials like a six-millimeter thick windshield.
Ford's exclusive second-generation keypad system debuts on the Flex, giving passengers the ability to unlock the doors, disarm the alarm system and disable auto-lock functions by entering a five-digit code. Flex also features Ford's new capless fuel filler technology that seals the opening until the fuel pump nozzle is inserted. Technology highlights also include programmable ambient lighting, Ford's next-generation navigation system and the Ford Sync hands-free communications system.

Ford's 2009 Lincoln MKS Review Video
The MKS is Lincoln's new midsize-to-large flagship sedan. The production MKS will offer a larger 3.7L version of the Cyclone V6 also used in the Lincoln MKZ and Lincoln MKX. A twin turbocharged EcoBoost version of this engine with direct injection will be available in the MKS less than one year after launch, although a firm date has not been set. The MKS uses a FWD platform, but will offer all wheel drive as an option.
The MKS is the first application for many new Ford technologies, including a new starting system where the driver only has to have the key with them to be able to unlock the vehicle and start the car. Also new to the MKS is Ford's adaptive cruise control, which uses radar to monitor up to 600 feet ahead of the vehicle and apply the brakes automatically for minor speed adjustments. The MKS will feature SYNC, Ford's new voice responsive communication system, and Ford's capless fuel filler, which makes refueling more convenient and ensures a tighter seal of the gas tank to help reduce escaped fuel vapors.
The MKS also will offer rain-sensing windshield wipers, a rearview camera system, front and rear park assist, and a THX sound system with full 5.1 surround sound. The MKS will start at $37,655 for the FWD model, and $39,555 for the AWD model.
